A woman in her 50s or 60s was taken to Harborview Medical Center with possible broken bones after she was pinned between two parked cars on 5th Avenue South near Girardi’s restaurant Saturday afternoon.
According to Edmonds police spokesman Sgt. Shane Hawley, the woman who was struck happened to be standing or walking between two parked cars around 3 p.m. Saturday when a vehicle, driven by a woman in her 60s, hit the back of one of the cars, forcing that car into the pedestrian and pinning her between the two parked vehicles.
The cities of residences of the two women was not immediately known. Hawley said the driver was cooperating with police but no word at this time on whether any drug, alcohol or other impairment or distraction was involved.
