Those seeking unique ways to give back this holiday season can donate diapers and other toiletry items Nov. 16-30 at the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau’s South County Visitor Information Center.

“The items we’re collecting generally are neglected this time of year as people focus on giving food,” said Stacey Pfeifer, visitor services and training manager at Snohomish County Tourism Bureau. “What folks don’t realize is that if someone can’t afford to put dinner on the table, they probably can’t afford toiletry items that can be deemed as luxury items.”

Items donated will be provided to Pioneer Human Services, a Snohomish County in-home counseling program that supports families in need. Snohomish County Tourism Bureau has supported this organization through holiday giving programs for the past two years.

The South County Visitor Information Center is located at Heritage Park, 19921 Poplar Way in Lynnwood. It is open 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday; and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
