MLTnews reader, Tonya, would like to send you this “thank you” to those involved in the “Wings to Reading” program at First Baptist Church of Mountlake Terrace:
On Thursday May 28th Wings To Reading had their “A Cerebration of Reading” event. Director Diane Plourde was the host of this great evening. All the children they serve from Cedar Way Elementary and Mountlake Terrace Elementary read two pages from their favorite books. I would like to send a great big thank you to all that have volunteered and have donated and supported this great group. My daughter has learned so much and her reading as leaped great bounds from this program. The principle from Cedar Way was there along with the Learning Support Teacher from both schools with many teachers. Superintendent of Edmonds School District attended, giving all a great story about three colored rocks.
The Wings To Reading is always looking for Donations & Supports for the next up coming school year. If you are able to help please contact Mrs. Diane Plourde at First Baptist Church Of Mountlake Terrace located at 22800 56th Ave W.
