Wings to Reading, the local nonprofit that supports student learning in Mountlake Terrace, congratulated this year’s students in a celebration on June 2.
This year’s class honored on June 2.More than 20 elementary students benefit from this program, and during the celebration, they shared some of their favorite books. The students were also recognized by Superintendent Nick Brossoit during the event. Program Director Diane Plourde presented students with awards to congratulate the students for their hard work. Wings to Reading provides academic support to students two nights a week throughout the school year, and students and their families must apply and be committed to participating before they are accepted. Congratulations to these students and their families!
