What’s open and closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day Monday

mltnewsMonday, Jan. 19, is the observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which brings a few changes in the schedules of schools, government offices and various services. Here is what’s open and operating, and what isn’t, on Monday:

  • Public and Private schools — all closed
  • Mountlake Terrace City Facilities — all closed, except for the Recreation Pavilion, which is open from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The pool is closed until mid-February.
  • Brier City Facilities — all closed
  • Mountlake Terrace Library — closed
  • Brier Library — closed
  • Mountlake Terrace Post Office — closed; no mail delivery
  • Community Transit Bus Service — local buses operating on regular schedule; all commuter buses to Seattle from the Mountlake Terrace Transit Center are not operating except for Route 413 which will run on its regular weekday schedule
  • Sound Transit Bus Service — operating on regular weekday schedule
  • Metro Bus Service — Route 347 (servicing Mountlake Terrace) will operate on a regular weekday service schedule
  • Mountlake Terrace banks and credit unions — all closed
