Christmas Day brings numerous closures and reductions of service to schools, government services and private businesses around Mountlake Terrace and Brier. Here is what is open and operating, and what isn’t, on Dec. 25:
Public and Private schools – all closed (Edmonds School District schools reopen on Monday, Jan. 7; Cedar Park Christian – Mountlake Terrace and St. Pius X reopen on Jan. 2)
Mountlake Terrace City Facilities – all closed (the Recreation Pavilion will also be closed on Dec. 24)
Brier City Facilities – all closed
Mountlake Terrace Library – closed (the library will close at 3 p.m. on Dec. 24)
Brier Library – closed (the library will close at 3 p.m. on Dec. 24)
Mountlake Terrace Post Office – closed; no mail delivery (the post office will be open and mail will be delivered and picked up on Dec. 24)
Community Transit Bus Service – no service
Sound Transit Bus Service – operating on a Sunday schedule
Metro Bus Service – Route 347 (servicing Mountlake Terrace) will operate on a Sunday schedule
Mountlake Terrace banks and credit unions – all closed
Mountlake Terrace grocery stores – all closed (Rogers Market, 23220-56th Ave. W., and Albertsons, 4301-212th St. S.W., will be closing at 9 p.m. on Dec. 24; QFC, 22803-44th Ave. W., will close at 6 p.m. on Dec. 24, reopening on Dec. 26 at 7:30 a.m.)
