Here’s what’s happening at the library this week:
Monday, July 6 at 1 PM: Ms. Frizzle Puts Art in Action: A Magic School Bus Program
Ms. Frizzle will help children use their imagination to create art through stories and experiments. This program is part of our Summer Reading series.
Monday, July 6 at 3 PM: Book Buddies
Parents! Is your 2nd or 3rd grader a reluctant reader? Perhaps Book Buddies is for them! This program is a fun, confidence-building opportunity for your child to practice reading with a specially trained teen volunteer. Book Buddies group sessions will be Monday afternoons from 3 to 4:30 pm, June 29 to August 17, 2009. Funded by the Mountlake Terrace Police Association.
Wednesday, July 8 at 4 PM: Teen Game Day
Come play video games with other teens from the neighborhood!
Thursday, July 9 at 10 AM: Ready Readers: Baby Storytime
Babies and their favorite adults learn to love reading together with stories, songs, fingerplays and rhymes. Playtime follows. For ages 3 months through 18 months. Caregiver required.
Thursday, July 9 at 11 AM: Family Storytime
Join us for silly stories, wacky songs and other fun activities.
Saturday, July 11 at 1 PM: Saturdays@the Library: Recycled Art with Joy Knight
Recycled Art: From trash to treasured art, recreate all sorts of things! Have fun with Joy Knight of Creation Station fame, creating your next masterpiece. This program is part of our Summer Reading series.
