Repair work on a recent water main break at the Lynnwood-Mountlake Terrace border will require the City of Lynnwood to close 212th Street Southwest between 52nd Avenue West and 61st Ave West to all through traffic on Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Starting at 6 a.m. Wednesday, the city’s contractor will isolate the damaged water main to prevent possible future breaks. Pavement damage and the condition of the existing pipes will be evaluated and assessed to determine the full scope of the project. This closure is anticipated to end at 7 p.m.; however it is possible the closure could extend to Thursday. Detour routes have been established as shown in the map above. Local and emergency access will be accommodated throughout the road closure.
