Registration for the 22nd annual United Way Days of Caring is closing Thurs., Sept. 3.

As in past years, there are opportunities to volunteer throughout the county, including Lynnwood and Edmomnds, on both Friday, Sept. 11 and Saturday, Sept. 12. Days of Caring is the largest volunteer event in Snohomish County. Habitat for Humanity, Work Opportunities and YWCA in Lynnwood still need volunteers. EarthCorps also needs help creating healthy wetlands at Edmonds Marsh. (Friday and Saturday shifts available.)

Project information can be found on United Way’s website www.uwsc.org/docvolunteers.php.

In 2014, 700 volunteers participated in Days of Caring, giving over 3,000 hours at 35 nonprofit project sites throughout the county. The impact of this volunteer service time is valued at $82,000.
