On Saturday, May 14, around 55 volunteers showed up at Terrace Park school to help clean up the city parks. Volunteers were fortunate to have beautiful weather for the entire day, despite a chance of rain in the forecast. From Terrace Park, most of the volunteers headed down to the Ballinger Playfields while a handful went over to the Terrace Creek trail.
At the Ballinger Playfields, volunteers helped clear blackberry bushes from the banks of Hall Creek.
After spending the morning tackling blackberry bushes, volunteers were served lunch by the City Council outside the Library where Mayor Pro Tem Laura Sonmore thanked all the volunteers for their hard work.
