A Volunteer Park Cleanup Day is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 15 at 9 a.m. at Terrace Ridge Park, located at 4600 242nd St. S.W.
The Recreation Park Advisory Commission and the Neighborhood Park Improvement Subcommittee invites the community to join them for a park cleanup event that coincides with the National “Day of Service” in remembrance of Sept. 11.
The “Day of Service” encourages residents to volunteer in their community during the week of Sept. 11. Volunteers, with gardening gloves and tools, should meet at Terrace Ridge Park at 9 a.m. Groups should register with Parks and Facilities Superintendent Ken Courtmanch in advance so assignments can be planned accordingly — call 425-776-1811. The event will take place rain or shine.
