The community is invited to join Mountlake Terrace City officials, Mountlake Terrace Business Association, City volunteers, and Vineyard Park representatives and residents for a ribbon cutting event on Saturday, July 11 at 11 a.m.
Following the ceremony, Vineyard Park offers an Open House until 3 p.m. featuring tours of the facility, cake and other refreshments.
Vineyard Park has 81 independent and assisted living apartments as well as 29 memory care units at their 23008 56th Avenue location.
“We are excited to be a positive addition to the Mountlake Terrace community and its downtown revitalization, said Kelley Smith, Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing for CarePartners Living LLC. “This event will be a great opportunity to help us get to know our neighbors better.”
The Vineyard Park project also highlights some of the visual upgrades to the downtown including wider sidewalks, street trees, benches, street lights, professional signage and more. These improvements are all part of the Town Center design standards that new developments must adhere to. The overhead utility wires will be undergrounded at a future date as part of the Main Street Revitalization Project. Trenching for the future undergrounding of utilities was included in the Vineyard Park project.
Vineyard Park is also the first project to utilize the city’s regional stormwater facility that saved buildable land and money for the developer by not having to build its own onsite facility. The city recently won a VISION 2040 Award from the Puget Sound Regional Council for this project that promotes good stewardship of the environment and incentive for businesses to locate in downtown Mountlake Terrace.
