Vince DeMiero, the Mountlake Terrace High School teacher who is running for 1st district representative, is having a campaign kickoff this Saturday at Sorelli Pizza in Mountlake Terrace.
DeMiero has lived in the 1st district since 1967. He attended Hazelwood, Ballinger and Evergreen elementary schools, Alderwood Junior High, Lynnwood High and Edmonds Community College, then WSU for his B.A. and M.A. DeMiero has been educating, advising and coaching kids at Mountlake Terrace High School since 1988.
What DeMiero wants more than anything is open communication between himself and the people of the 1st district. He says he wants to know what people are concerned about in this district, what they love, what they want to build on, what they want to see done differently in Olympia, what their vision is for the future.
If somebody is looking to vote for a career politician, I’m not their guy. If, on the other hand, they want to support somebody who has deep roots in the 1st LD and cares passionately about our communities, understands what it’s like to live paycheck-to-paycheck, has his kids in public school and, well, is a lot like them, then I’m their guy…
I’m confident that people want somebody representing them that they can trust, shares their values and will speak on their behalf in Olympia. I’m that person.
