Clothes For Kids is hosting a rummage sale to benefit Clothes For Kids School Wardrobe Program this Friday and Saturday, March 4-5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lynnwood location, 16725 52nd Ave. W.
“We offer excellent adult clothing, infant clothing and housewares and very low prices.” Said Nancy Laird Burris, Program Manager. “We want to be clear that we never sell our school clothing, and the funds generated from the rummage sale help us to purchase new socks, underwear and shoes.”
In addition to the rummage sale, Clothes For Kids is thrilled to be the beneficiary of Tyler Vander Ploeg’s 40th Birthday Party and Foo Fighter Tribute Night Friday, March 4. The event will be at the High Dive in Ballard, 513 North 36th St, Seattle, WA 98103. You can find more information here. All proceeds benefit Clothes For Kids.
Clothes For Kids, a local independent non-profit, has been providing low-income students with school clothing since 1984. “While it is not our mission to create smiles on kids’ faces and looks of relief and hope on those of parents, that is often what happens,” says Mark Cholvin, Clothes For Kids Board President. “It’s not uncommon to hear an excited voice proclaim: ‘Look what I found!’”
