Two-vehicle overnight accident on I-5 through MLT sends two to hospital

I-5 signTwo people were injured in a midnight collision on I-5 near the 220th Street Southwest interchange in Mountlake Terrace Thursday morning that totaled two vehicles.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Chad Miller, 25, was driving a 2005 Subaru Outback at a high rate of speed on southbound I-5 when he struck the rear of a 2006 Ford Fusion being driven by Jamilah Clark, 30, of Edmonds. The collision sent Clark’s vehicle into the right ditch while Miller’s vehicle served to the left, up an embankment, then rolled onto its top.

Clark was transported to Swedish Edmonds Hospital while Miller was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle; the extent of the injuries was unknown.
