December 4th is the date for the annual Mountlake Terrace Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
There will be caroling, refreshments and even a visit from Santa himself. The Christmas “tree” is a frame constructed on the top of the city’s water tower. Attached to the frame are over 1,800 LED lights that can be seen for miles.
Hot cocoa and coffee and refreshments (likely Christmas cookies) will be served by volunteers and the Terrace Park School Choir will sing carols.
The Tree Lighting Ceremony will be at Evergreen play field from 6:30 to 8 PM, December 4th, and is presented by the Nile Shrine Center Shurtah Unit.
