Tickets on sale for Clothes For Kids 30th Anniversary Gala

Tickets are still available for Clothes For Kids’ 30th 30th Anniversary Gala & Auction on May 29 at the Future of Flight Aviation Center at Paine Field in Everett.

The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with a silent auction and no-host bar, followed by a seated dinner and live auction featuring auctioneer Lance Lambert, host of television’s award-winning Vintage Vehicle Show, and a very special Clothes For Kids runway fashion show.

Lance Lambert will host the Clothes For Kids 30th Anniversary Gala & Auction on May 29.

Lambert is a loyal supporter of Clothes For Kids, hosting some of its most successful fundraising events over the years.

“I feel really strongly about Clothes For Kids. When I was a kid, we went through a period where we didn’t have much. For a while, the clothes I was wearing were all from a Catholic school in Tacoma that had uniforms and when they were too worn out, I ended up with them,” Lambert said. “I wanted Levi’s like all the other kids – I had salt and pepper cords. I wanted high top tennis shoes like all the other kids – I had logger boots. I have a real sensitivity towards that, anything to do with kids really. All the woes in the world and all the craziness, it’s not their fault.”

Many guests will remember when Lambert hosted Clothes For Kids’ last auction and donated $5 every time he mispronounced the name of a bottle of wine.

“Some of the stuff I do is kind of fun and unusual,” says Lance. “I’m not the auctioneer that does the set patter. I pit tables against each other. I tease people. It becomes apparent real quick who the fun people are in the audience. Fun is the whole thing – it’s just about having fun.
