City Council will hear three public hearings on Monday night during the regular city council meeting.
The first is the final public hearing for the 2017-2018 biennial budget. The proposed budget shows a projected ending fund balance to grow over the next two years, which was one of the city’s main goals over the next two years. To review the proposed budget, click here.
Next, council will hear the public’s thoughts on the proposed Six-year Transportation Improvement Plan. This plan prioritizes sidewalk construction in 2017 and 2018, asphalt street overlay starting in 2018 and ADA sidewalk construction in 2019, among several other projects. Bicycle lane construction and signal cabinet and controller replacements will be on the schedule every year from 2017-2022. To see the full presentation about the plan, click here.
Finally, council will discuss raising property taxes in 2017, in compliance with the levy lid lift approved by voters in August. To read the council bill, click here.
The public is encouraged to attend and give feedback on the topics at hand. To see the full agenda for Monday night’s meeting, click here.
