The Edmonds School Board announced during their meeting Tuesday night that three finalists have been selected in the search for a new superintendent for the Edmonds School District.
Those finalists are:
-Dr. Deb Clemens, Superintendent, Cheney, Wash.
-Dr. Kris McDuffy, Superintendent, Arlington
-Dr. Chrys Sweeting, Assistant Superintendent, Puyallup
The district will conduct a final round of interviews next week. On Monday, one finalist, McDuffy, will visit schools within the district for an opportunity to tour them and meet with staff and administrators. Sweeting will visit Tuesday and Clemens will visit Wednesday.
On the evening of Thursday, March 31, a community forum will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Mountlake Terrace High School Theater with the three finalists meeting with the community one at a time. Attending members of the public will be able to give feedback to school board members during the forum.
The three finalists were selected from an initial pool of 18 applicants. Six of those applicants were interviewed on Saturday, March 19. For a summary of Sweeting’s comments, click here. McDuffy’s and Clemens’s comments can be read here.
