The Mountlake Terrace Library has many events for teens, children and families throughout the week. Some are educational and some are just for fun. Each Sunday we will try to highlight a few of the events here at MLTnews.com. Here’s what’s happening at the library this week:
Monday, June 22 at 7 PM: Summer Reading Kick Off with Anansi the Spider
Kick off summer reading as the Oregon Shadow Theatre brings to life the West African trickster “Anansi the Spider.” In this story Anansi meets a River Goblin, fights a chimpanzee, and plays a trick on his whole village. Plus, a performance of “How Sun and Moon Came to Live in the Sky.”
Wednesday, June 24 from 4-6 PM: Mario Kart Teen Tournament
Think you have what it takes to be the Mountlake Terrace Mario Kart champion? Compete against other neighborhood teens in this fun racing tournament. Prizes and refreshments funded by the Friends of the Mountlake Terrace Library. Register here.
Thursday, June 25 at 10 AM: Ready Readers: Baby Storytime
Babies and their favorite adults learn to love reading together with stories, songs, fingerplays and rhymes. Playtime follows. For ages 3 months through 18 months. Caregiver required.
Thursday, June 25 at 11 AM: Family Storytime
Join us for silly stories, wacky songs and other fun activities.
