Back in November Mountlake Police responded to a report of a residential burglary. The reporting party stated that his house was burglarized and that an Xbox, 20 games and 28 DVD’s were taken from his home.
MLT Detective Krahn was assigned to investigate the incident and through interviews of known subjects and searches of pawn records he was able to identify the suspects responsible. Additionally, Detective Krahn was able to recover the majority of the stolen property.
Fast forward to January 3rd. The two adult male suspects were contacted at their residences (in Brier and Lynnwood) and taken in to custody. During the interview the suspects admitted to planning and committing the burglary in order to sell the goods.
The reason they gave that they needed the money? To pay for a traffic ticket they received in Mountlake Terrace.
