The 12th Man is alive and well in Mountlake Terrace as local football fans are showing their Seahawk pride in advance of this week’s NFL playoff game in Seattle.

The Seahawks will host an NFL divisional playoff game at CenturyLink Field on Saturday, Jan. 11, with kickoff set for 1:30 p.m.

A 12th Man flag has been flying high above the Mountlake Terrace water tower since Jan. 2 and will remain there as long as the Seahawks are in the hunt for a spot in Super Bowl XLVIII on Feb. 2.

City of Mountlake Terrace employees contributed the necessary $420 for the purchase and installation of the 10×15-foot flag. City workers raised the flag in place of the regular American flag that would normally fly on the tower, and did so after they took down the “Christmas tree” structure that was on display during the holiday season.

Numerous other displays of Seahawk passion can also be seen around Mountlake Terrace right now. Send a photo of your display to doug@mltnews.com and we just might post it on MLTnews.
