“Senior Prom” is the senior project of Mountlake Terrace student Nick Terry. The film premiered in December at MTHS, was accepted in to the Seattle International Film Festival FutureWave program in March and on Friday Nick will be interviewed on Evening Magazine about the film.
The film is done in the style of a a mockumentary, similar to Christopher Guest’s movies like “Best in Show” or “Spinal Tap”, and is centered around a school’s senior prom and all the work and drama that goes in to planning the event.
“Senior Prom” will be playing at the SIFF Cinema on May 28th at 7 pm and on June 1st at 4:30 pm. Tickets go on sale Thursday, May 6th, for SIFF members and Friday, May 7th, for the general public. You can buy tickets at SIFF.net.
