Terrace Sports Recap

Softball:

Terrace hosted undefeated and number 3 ranked Meadowdale on the first completely dry and somewhat comfortable day temperature wise on Tuesday. The Mustangs scored 1 run in the first inning but Terrace came back aided by back to back home runs by Senior 2nd baseman Chelsea Crews who drove in Mindy James and then sophomore pitcher Rene Bos. Meadowdale added 2 in the 3rd but Terrace added 4 of their own while leaving the sacks full and batting 10 in the inning led by a double and 2 RBI’s for Hannah Fickle, 1-2 on the day, and Maddy Kristjanson also drove in a run, 2-4. Meadowdale scored 1 each in the 4th and 5th. Terrace led 7-5 going into the final inning and gave up a double to the pitcher of record Alyssa Reuble who was also 4-4 on the day, but it wasn’t enough as Bos ended the game on a ground out to seal the victory 7-6. Bos also was 3-4 with 2 RBI, Crews was also 3-4.

That was the only game of the week. Terrace will try and get in 4 games next week, starting with Shorewood Monday, Everett Tuesday, Shorecrest Wednesday, all away games, followed by Kamiak Thursday at home. After a loss by Meadowdale to Everett on Thursday night, Terrace is now in second place in Wesco 3A one game back of Everett. The Everett game will be a night game at 6pm, come out and support the Hawks as they try to move into first place this week!

Baseball:

The boys baseball team had a rough week last week going 0-4. 6-0 against Shorecrest, 11-1 and 8-4 against Shorewood, and 7-0 against-W.
