Baseball

Softball

The hawks were able to get in two games last week despite all the rain and umpires not showing up for their game against Kamiak Monday. Tuesday they hosted Shorecrest in a conference game, Shorecrest came out to an early lead scoring 3 in each of the first two innings. Not to be out done Terrace exploded for 13 runs on 9 hits, including home runs by Chelsea Crews, who went 2-3 with a double and 3 RBI’s on the day, and Hannah Baisch, who went 1-2 with 3 RBI’s. Also Mindy James was 5-5 with 4 RBI’s. Ward 2B, Bos 2-4 RBI, Kristjanson 2-4, 2B, 2 RBI. Maddy Kristjanson went the distance for her second win of the year. Final 18-9.

In the finale before spring break, Terrace went to play on the turf at Edmonds Woodway for a non conference game. The game should not have gone more than three innings due to the downpour both teams had to endure. After three it was tied 3-3 and then the Hawks broke out for ten runs, the Warriors scored 2 in the fourth and Terrace answered with 2 more and held in the 5th to win by mercy rule, for a final of 15-5. Rene Bos got the win for the Hawks, 2-2-1, 5 IP, 6 K’s, 4 BB, 4 Hits. Mindy James led the Hawks offensively going 3-4 with 2 triples and 4 RBI’s. Minna Ward 1-3 RBI, Chelsea Crews 1-3, 2 RBI, Maddy Kristjanson 2-4, Jessie Printz 1-3, 2 RBI, Hannah Fickle 3-4, 3 RBI, Kaitlin Dessin 2-3
