Terrace Softball: Rain ends game with 11-11 tie

The Hawks hosted Sedro Woolley Friday evening to end a week with weather that was sketchy at best, with a rain shortened tie 11-11 after 7 innings.

Terrace started out with the lead only to give it up with some fielding errors and a of couple hits mixed in. Terrace took the lead once again, 6-4, on an in the park grand slam by freshman centerfielder Maddy Kristjanson, who ended up going 4-4 on the day.

The Hawks pitcher Rene Bos struggled with controlling her pitching as the rain began to come down hard in the 7th inning, Sedro Woolley scored 5 to go ahead by 3 runs. In the bottom of the 7th the Hawks returned the favor by scoring 3 runs to tie it up. At that point the field became unplayable and all agreed to end the game in a tie. Chelsea Crews also had two hits along with two hits and two RBI’s for another freshman, Hannah Baisch.

The Hawks play at Mariner Monday, 4pm, and host Shorewood Tuesday als at 4pm.
