Snohomish County Public Utility District has awarded nine mini-grants for science-related educational projects in several school districts. The grants help schools incorporate energy and water education into their curriculum.
Terrace Park Elementary has been awarded one of the grants and 4th grade students will explore the uses and technology of renewable energy sources such as wind and water (hydropower). Using wind/water energy, they will learn about kinetic energy and how to transfer it into electrical energy.
Nice!
