The Edmonds Beacon reports that Mountlake Terrace High School is hosting the fifth annual Terrace Idol, a singing competition between Edmonds-Woodway, Meadowdale, Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood high schools:
Terrace Idol not only gives students the opportunity to showcase their singing talents, the competition also gives them the opportunity to meet students from other high schools in the district, said Mountlake Terrace senior Michael Ward.
It’s a competition that nobody is really trying to win, he said. They’re trying to win, but it’s not like backstage they’re like Oh, I’m going to sing better than you. Backstage they’re very friendly.
Tickets to Terrace Idol are $5 per round, or $10 for all three rounds. The competitions will be held on January 27, February 5th and February 10th at Mountlake Terrace High School.
