The Brier Library is offering two sweet events for school-aged kids that will be sure to satisfy the curious, the imaginative and the hungry.
On Saturday, Dec. 21, the library presents a Winter Extravaganza — The Gingerbread Story beginning at 2 p.m. Attendees will hear the sometimes sweet, sometimes scary stories of Hansel & Gretel and The Gingerbread Man, then be able to create their own gingerbread designs to take home and enjoy. The program is intended for ages 5-11; parents are encouraged to enjoy the festivities too.
Kids can come back for seconds on Friday, Dec. 27, for another Winter Extravaganza, this time The Sweet Science beginning at 11 a.m. Attendees ages 5-11 can take part in fun experiments with candy, marshmallows and other yummy treats.
The Brier Library is located at 23303 Brier Road; you can find more information about the library and its programs here.
