If you love working with people and helping them, becoming an American Cancer Society Cancer Resource Center volunteer at the Swedish Cancer Institute in Edmonds is just the right experience for you.
Working in the Cancer Resource Center gives a volunteer the opportunity to help connect cancer patients to support groups, education classes, day-to-day help, and other services, including rides to treatment; free wigs, hats and scarves; and brochures and pamphlets.
The Center is in search of individuals who are passionate about patient care, and demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Volunteers will asked to collect patient information for referrals to programs and must feel comfortable doing so. Contact Nici Feldhammer: nici.feldhammer@cancer.org to learn more about becoming a Cancer Resource Center volunteer.
