SUV takes out power pole in single car accident

A black SUV ran in to a power/light pole on the north side of 212th near 47th Ave W. Apparently power is out at some of the residences and businesses on the north (Lynnwood) side of the street as well as Alberton’s (MLT) at 212th/44th. It appears to have been a single car accident and witnesses say that there appears to be injuries.

Westbound traffic on 212th had been blocked at the time. We will update this story as more details are released.

UPDATE:

Residents are saying that power was out for about a half hour and is now back on. Power was even out briefly as far south as the police station on 232nd and near QFC/Bartells. Snohomish County PUD says that about 1,500 customers were without power from 8:45am to 9:25am but power has been restored.

Here’s more info from FD1: A car (possibly an SUV) hit a power pole in the 4600 block of 212th St. SW. Firefighters took one patient to Stevens  Hospital. I know it knocked out power to some areas — the traffic light at 212th St. SW and 52nd Ave. W was out. The pole is leaning and PUD was called to the scene.
