Super pink moon via camera and time-lapse video Posted: April 7, 2020 1430 Tuesday night’s Super Pink Moon is the closest and biggest super moon this year. It’s called a Super Pink Moon because it is bigger and brighter than a normal full moon, and also gets its name from the pink wildflower Phlox subulata, an eastern North American flower that blooms in spring. Contrary to the name, the Super Pink Moon isn’t pink. (Photo and video by David Carlos)
