There is a new business opening soon in Mountlake Terrace in the building next to Urban City Coffee.
Randal Southam Photography Studios is currently buliding out their space and is set to open up for business in Mountlake Terrace in January.
Randal Southam Studios offers studio and on location portrait services. They specialize in events, senior portraits, and architectural photography. Additionally, the new studio will be available to rent on an hourly basis to photographers in the area and several local professionals will conduct on going series of artistic and technical workshops for aspiring artists and photographers. Some workshops are offered as field trips where topics range from star trails photography to waterfall imagery.
The studio will double as a video production facility serving customers like our their parent company, Southam Creative, which produces corporate videos and other creative content for businesses worldwide. The space next door is a manufacturing facility where they will produce oversized prints (up to 50’ x 150’), oversized gallery wraps (up to 96”x96”), and specialized photography printing on metal, wood, glass, canvas, and other materials. The company’s theme is “beyond ordinary.”
Randal was raised in the Tri-Cities, sold his first professional picture in 1980 and moved to Seattle in 1985. He and his wife, Lin, live in Brier and have two boys in college and both of them work in the company. James is in the studio running creative development and Joshua is an assistant manager.
We’re looking forward to being really good neighbors and supporting our community!
-Randall Southam
