MLTnews.com and Mountlake Terrace High School will again partner to provide live video broadcasts of Mountlake Terrace High School football games that can be viewed by anyone with an Internet connection.
The Sound Live Sports Network will begin with the first game of the Mountlake Terrace High School football season, which kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6 at Edmonds District Stadium.
All home games will be webcast through MLTnews.com. Not only are the games covered live, but they are also archived for later viewing. The Sound Live Sports Network will also follow Hawks football into the postseason, both home and away.
The streaming, which last year was known as the Hawks Live Sports Network, has changed its name to the Sound Live Sports Network because all four Edmonds School District high schools — Mountlake Terrace, Edmonds-Woodway, Lynnwood and Meadowdale — will now be featured, explained MLTnews publisher Teresa Wippel. MTHS students and alumni will be involved in the broadcasts, which will be overseen by the high school’s broadcasting and journalism instructors, Angelo Comeaux and Vince DiMiero.
MTHS alumnus Steve Willits will continue to call the play-by-play for the Hawks this season.
Sound Live Sports Network sponsors so far include Burger King/Edmonds, Sorelli Pizza, Action Jackson Plumbing and Harris Ford. The pregame show will be presented by Dewar, Meeks & Ekrem and Jersey Mike’s Subs in Lynnwood will sponsor the Player of the Game award. A limited number of additional sponsorship opportunities are available; contact Teresa Wippel, MLTnews publisher and Sound Live Sports Network executive producer, at info@mltnews.com or at 425-772-3056 for more information. A percentage of all Sound Live Sports Network advertising profits will benefit the MTHS Sports and Football Booster Clubs.
