Sound Community Bank Robbery Suspect Identified

The City of Mountlake Terrace Police identified a 46-year-old female resident as the suspect in the recent robbery at Sound Community Bank located at 22807 44th Avenue West. Detectives remembered a similar robbery at the bank in 2006, compared photos of the suspect in both cases, and determined they were likely the same individual. The Detectives then contacted the suspect’s probation officer and advised them of probable cause for the suspect’s arrest.

At approximately 10 p.m. on June 1, while detectives were building their case and searching for the suspect, she turned herself in at the Police Department on some outstanding warrants. She had shaved her head and refused to talk to the Detectives about her involvement with the bank robbery. The suspect was booked at the Snohomish County Jail on her outstanding warrants. Robbery 1st Degree charges were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s office. Detectives are still searching for two other females involved in the bank robbery.

In addition, case information has been forwarded to the Lynnwood Police Department, as this suspect may be responsible for a bank robbery in their city. Anyone with information regarding the Mountlake Terrace bank robbery is asked to call Detective Krahn at (425) 670-8260.
