Bailey Sonko and Kevin Schaab are being featured this month on the Mountlake Terrace High School Athlete Highlights posters on display around the community.

Sonko was a center back for the Hawks’ girls soccer team that recently completed their 2019 season; Schaab was a member of the 2019 Hawks’ boys tennis team.

“Bailey is my rock on defense: denacious, physical, strong on the ball, vocal, smart, everything a coach loves in a center back,” said Terrace girls soccer coach Alvin Little.

“Bailey has become a great teammate with a positive influence,” Little continued. “She sets the tone by always working hard and keeping a positive attitude, even in challenging matches. I’m excited to see what’s in store for Bailey as a senior – I can see Bailey holding a leadership position and taking the Lady Hawks to another level.”

“Kevin is the first player to attend to help anyone on the team,” said Terrace boys tennis coach Josh Basha. “When there is water on the courts he shows up early to help squeegee; for home matches he fills the water jug for all of the players; he actively watches all of his teammates compete and he competes intensely smothering the net while using great sportsmanship.”
