The League of Women Voters of Snohomish County will celebrate 95 years of the National League with a birthday luncheon Saturday, Feb. 28 at 11:30 a.m. at the Everett Golf & Country Club, 1500 52nd Street (corner of 52nd St. and Colby Avenue), Everett.
The League will also present its 2015 Democracy in Action Award to KSER Radio’s News and Public Affairs Department, with Ed Bremer receiving the award on the station’s behalf.
Keynote speaker Caley Cook, from the University of Washington’s Department of Communications faculty, will reflect on the award topic and share her insights on the state of the FCC, the Internet and its impact on how we keep current.
