Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 792 calls Oct. 2-15: 636 emergency medical aid calls, 49 motor vehicle collisions, 30 fires, 23 service calls, 11 natural gas leaks and 44 automatic fire alarms.
Oct. 4
COLLISION: At 11:53 a.m., a two-car collision was reported at 212th Street SW and 44th Avenue W in Mountlake Terrace. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
Oct. 6
COLLISION: At 8:14 a.m., a two-car collision occurred in the 23200 block of Highway 99 in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
COLLISION: At 5:04 p.m., a car and a motorcycle collided at 21st Avenue W and Larch Way east of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported the seriously injured cyclist to Harborview Medical Center.
Oct. 9
COLLISION: At 6:00 a.m., a motorcyclist was struck by a car on southbound I-405 just south of I-5. Firefighters transported the cyclist to Harborview Medical Center.
COLLISION: At 7:39 p.m., a car hit a pedestrian in the 22900 block of Highway 99 in Edmonds. Firefighters transported the injured pedestrian to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
Oct. 10
COLLISION: At 5:42 a.m., a motorcyclist crashed on the ramp from southbound SR-525 to southbound I-5 and was transported by firefighters to Harborview Medical Center.
COLLISION: At 3:35 p.m., a three-car collision was reported in the 7200 block of Lake Ballinger Way in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
COLLISION: At 10:30 p.m., a two-car collision occurred at Main Street and Olympic Avenue in Edmonds. Airbags were deployed in both vehicles. Firefighters used rescue tools to free one patient from the wreckage. Two patients were transported to Harborview Medical Center and a third patient was transported to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
Oct. 11
COLLISION: At 6:40 p.m., a two-car collision was reported in the 5800 block of 134nd Place SE east of Everett. Firefighters used rescue tools to free one person from the wreckage. The patient was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
COLLISION: At 11:52 p.m., a car struck a median at Larch Way and Locust Way east of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
Oct. 13
FIRE: At 2:27 p.m., a house fire was reported in the 200 block of 107th Street SW south of Everett. The occupant safely exited the house after being alerted to the fire by a neighbor. Smoke was coming from the house when firefighters arrived. They extinguished a small fire in a section of wall. Damage is estimated at $10,000. No one was injured. Investigators determined the accidental fire was started by a landscaper using a torch to burn weeds near the house.
Oct. 14
MICROWAVE FIRE: At 12:16 p.m., firefighters responded to an apartment filled with smoke in the 3330 block of 164th Street SW north of Lynnwood. The two occupants safely evacuated. Firefighters extinguished a fire in the microwave oven. No one was injured.
COLLISION: At 6:58 p.m., a two-car collision was reported at 112th Street SW and 4th Avenue W south of Everett. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room.
Oct. 15
COLLISION: At 8:14 a.m., a car struck a pedestrian in the 6000 block of 236th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace. Firefighters transported the injured pedestrian to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
COLLISION: At 10:41 a.m., two cars collided in the 6500 block of Picnic Point Road north of Edmonds. Firefighters transported two patients to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett and one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
CONSTRUCTION ACCIDENT: At 4:44 p.m., three workers were injured in a construction accident in the 400 block of 202nd Place SW east of Lynnwood. They were transported by firefighters to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
