The Snohomish County Council is looking for a volunteer from the southeast corner of the county to join the Performance Audit Committee, a volunteer group that advices the performance auditor of the development of the annual audit plan and reviews the audit process.
The county currently has three vacancies on the board, including the post for District 4, an area of south Snohomish County that includes the cities of Mountlake Terrace, Brier, Bothell, Mill Creek and surrounding unincorporated areas of the county.
Performance Audit Committee members are appointed to their seats by either the County Executive or a member of the county council. Appointed members serve three-year terms, are eligible to serve two consecutive terms, and are subject to losing their seat on the committee when the council member that appoints them leaves office. Potential committee members must demonstrate their knowledge or experience in the duties of the committee.
To suggest someone, including yourself, for the Performance Audit Committee position, contact Terry Ryan, councilmember for Snohomish County Council District 4, at terry.ryan@snoco.org or 425-388-3494.
