Sno-Isle Genealogical Society will presents a book reading on Sunday, June 28, at 1 p.m., by member/author Gisela Wicks on “Born into Hitler’s War.”
This memoir is the story of Wicks’ childhood and teen years having to live with a spiteful stepmother, surviving the hardship of World War II, fearing the Russian fronts, fleeing from them and the bombings, and ending with the harrowing escape to freedom. T
The event will be in the research library, 19827 Poplar Way, Heritage Park, Lynnwood. There will be a second reading at 2 p.m. if needed. Space is limited.
