The City of Mountlake Terrace and First District 1 are teaming up to offering the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver First Aid and CPR/AED classes in September and November.
The course is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. The course also teaches adult, child and infant CPR and used of an AED. The one-day class will be on Saturday, Sept. 20 (28938) and Saturday, Nov. 15 (28939) from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Fee is $70.
Classes are held at Fire District 1 headquarters located at 12425 Meridian Ave. S. in Everett. Participants can register in person at the Recreation Pavilion or online (with a Pin # obtained from the Pavilion). For more information call 425-776-9173.
