Despite four Hawks earning pinfall wins in their weight classes, the Mountlake Terrace High School wrestling team were edged out 40-37 by the Shorewood T-Birds in a Wesco League dual meet on Thursday.

Shorewood picked up 12 of its 40 team points by forfeit when Terrace couldn’t field wrestlers in the 106 lb. and 113 lb. weight divisions.

Hawks grabbing wins by pinfall were Taylor Hetherington (132 lb.), Syd Springberg (170 lb.), David Marrs (182 lb.) and Brett Potter (220 lb.).

Terrace will next hit the mat on Friday, Jan. 24, in a dual meet against the Meadowdale Mavericks at Meadowdale High School beginning at 7 p.m.
