The Mountlake Terrace Senior Center rummage sale doesn’t official start until 10 a.m. Saturday, but a few shoppers got an early chance to buy Friday afternoon.
“After we put the stuff out, people wanted to start buying it,” said Ashley Rupp, who was watching over the sale site in the 23200 block of 56th Avenue West. “We couldn’t tell them ‘no’.”
The sale is scheduled to run Saturday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., taking place in the gravel lot directly across 56th Avenue West from the Red Onion Burgers restaurant. The event will also feature a barbecue and music of the 1940s, ’50s and ’60s from DJ Shane Misner.
Items for sale include clothing, toys, furniture, electronics and much more; addition merchandise will be added to the sale throughout the day on Saturday.
All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Mountlake Terrace Senior Center, which is hoping to purchase new computers for their facility at 5605-235th St. S.W.
The center provides services and activities for seniors in the community. For more information, call 425-672-2407 or visit thei Senior Center’s Facebook page.
