Seven contestants from Mountlake Terrace High School, two from Lynnwood High School and one from Edmonds-Woodway High School are moving on to Round Two of this year’s Terrace Idol singing competition on Wednesday, Feb. 12. The ten will perform at the MTHS Theater, 21801-44th Ave. W., beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 per person.

The 10 Round Two participants will be Orion Burk-Poole, Maddy Caiola, Alisha Clingan, Dominic Demeiro, Amanda Holthusen, Ashley Lee and Senaiet Zerom from Mountlake Terrace; Awais Ahnad and Auryana Ashoori from Lynnwood; and Caitlin Yanos from Edmonds-Woodway. The 10 survived a cut that eliminated half of the original field last week.
Returning to the judges’ table for Round Two will be Gale Fiege, reporter for the Herald. Joining Fiege will be singer and musician Rob Hyatt, and Jack Waterman, DJ and member of the techno group Electric Children.
Round Two of Terrace Idol will whittle the field down further, with the finals scheduled for Feb. 19. All proceeds from the event will go to the MTHS Class of 2014 safe and sober graduation party and the MTHS drama department.
