Plenty happening at Mountlake Terrace Senior Center including AquaSox game, Summer Luau and volunteer opportunites

senior centerThe Mountlake Terrace Senior Center is selling tickets to the Everett AquaSox baseball game against Spokane on Aug. 11.

Game time is 7:05 and tickets are $11. The Senior Center has 100 tickets available and encourages people to sell tickets to their friends and neighbors. For each ticket sold the Senior Center gets $4. There will be limited van space available and people are encouraged to car pool.

The Senior Center will be hosting a Summer Sunset Luau on Aug. 16. 

From 5-9 p.m., you can enjoy great food and fun. A gourmet menu planned and there will be live music including Hawaiian music and dance. The Senior Center will have raffles, a silent auction and a cash beverage bar that includes beer and wine.      

Tickets are available and are  $30/person $200 for a table of 8. 150 tickets are available.

Buy a table for the Luau by Friday, Aug. 8 and get five tickets to the August 11 baseball game.                         

The Senior Center is still collecting new items for the raffles and silent auction. Suggestions include gift cards, theme baskets, etc.  Business owners are encouraged to help. These items are tax deductable. 

The Senior Center also has volunteers opportunities including working at the Welcome Desk (Call Claudette) and in the kitchen for the lunch program on Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays (Call Ann). 

One or two people to do telephone calls also are needed. If you are a handy person with a drill and screwdriver, the Senior Center has a few latches and locks to install.
