Here is an update from Seattle Tae Kwon Do about their recent ceremony honoring Mountlake Terrace council member John Zambrano:
On Saturday, April 24, 2010 the students of Seattle Tae Kwon Do and residents of Mountlake Terrace honored Mountlake Terrace City Councilman John Zambrano with an honorary Black Belt. Councilman Zambrano has had a long standing history of public service. He served over 20 years in United States Navy, worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 22 years, and is currently on his second term on the Mountlake Terrace City Council. Councilman Zambrano has been a great asset to the community. Seattle Tae Kwon Do is located at 22803 44th Ave, West in Mountlake Terrace and in the 18 years the school has been in Mountlake Terrace, this is the first honorary Black Belt presented. In addition to this, this is the first Honorary Black Belt issued by the United States National Taekwondo Federation to anyone in Washington State. Grandmaster Brandon Richards, 7th Degree Black Belt and school director of Seattle Tae Kwon Do was the official presenter. Councilman Zambrano has been very helpful to the Students of Seattle Tae Kwon Do and our community at large.
