Sample Nov. 6 general election ballot released

By Doug Petrowski

The Snohomish County Elections Division has released the sample ballot for the Nov. 6 General Election. In addition to the many federal, state and local offices, and statewide initiatives, referendums and resolutions on the ballot, Brier residents will vote on a proposed annexation of the Allview Heights area.

City of Brier Proposition No. 1 asks Brier voters if they wish to annex into the city 15.9 acres of the Allview Heights bordered by 228th Street Southwest on the north, 231st Street Southwest on the south, 24th Avenue West on the east, and 27th Avenue West on the west. A simple majority voting for the proposition would approve the annexation.

In local 1st and 32nd District legislative races, all five offices will have two candidates listed on the ballot. There was some speculation that in the 1st District, Representative Position 1 election only Luis Moscoso would appear on the ballot, but Mark T. Davies did qualify as a write-in candidate for the race after the August primary election.

The Nov. 6 ballot leads with the race for President/Vice President, with eight tickets of candidates to choose from.
