Six months after opening its doors to apartment dwellers, the five-story Arbor Heights complex at 236th Street Southwest and 56th Avenue West in Mountlake Terrace now has its first ground-floor commercial business open and operating.

Bellis Salon began offering services Saturday, March 1, much to the delight of owner Janna Ross. “It’s good to be up and going,” Ross said. “It took a year to negotiate the lease and do the construction; I’m relieved that we’re now open.”

Although a Marysville resident, Ross is very pleased to have found a home for her salon in Mountlake Terrace. “I like the area,” she said, “and to have the apartments right above us is great.”

With 1,250 square foot of space inside, Ross has six more stations that she is hoping to lease out to stylists.

Bellis Salon will be open Tuesday through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays 9 a.m.-6 p.m. You can find more information on the salon here.

  1. Janna Ross is a great stylist and a joy to spend time with. My family and I have been clients of hers for many years. I have recommended her to others that have also become regular clients. I highly recommend her as a stylist. Congrats Janna!

  2. So excited to have Bellis Salon open! Janna has been my stylist for decade an I would follow her anywhere, but I am happy that she is in Mountlake Terrace.

  3. Mountlake Terrace is fortunate to have such a talented stylist and smart business owner in Janna Ross. I first became her client 10 years ago, and now I’m proud to call her a friend. Go Bellis!
