The new Mountlake Terrace location for the Gene Juarez Academy is holding a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 9 a.m.
Mountlake Terrace Mayor Jerry Smith and executives of Gene Juarez are expected to be on hand for the event. Tours of the facility and light refreshments will be served following the ribbon-cutting.
The Gene Juarez Academy opened its new 15,000-square-foot north end facility on Jan. 21 to students in its cosmetology training program and to customers seeking hair and nail care services.
The academy’s Mountlake Terrace location replaces the now-closed Northgate location; Gene Juarez also operates a branch of its academy in Federal Way.
