Republican Mindie Wirth kicks off campaign for State Senate’s 1st District

Screenshot (489).pngMindie Wirth (R-1st Legislative District) kicked off her campaign for the State Senate on Wednesday evening.

Wirth is running to prioritize school funding, address tolls and traffic congestion and reduce the tax burden on working families.

Wirth is a graduate of Bothell High School and the University of Washington-Bothell. Wirth has worked for nearly a decade at Microsoft where she focuses on bringing all parts of digital marketing onto common web analytics and reporting– efforts that have earned her both individual and group achievement awards. She currently serves as Co-President of Northshore PTSA and has also served as the group’s First Vice President as well as Legislative & Advocacy Chair for her children’s elementary PTA. She also volunteers with many local groups.

Wirth lives in Bothell with her husband Johnny and their three children.

Wirth has two challengers for the 1st Legislative District, Guy Palumbo (D) and Luis Moscoso (D). Incumbent Rosemary McAuliffe (D-1st Legislative District) is not seeking re-election this year.
